Nominations

Nominations for the Henderson County Sports Hall of Fame are accepted in March and April of each year.  When making a nomination please include as much documentation as possible (e.g. copies of newspaper clippings, yearbooks, awards, etc.). Nominations are now open for the Class of 2023.  Be sure and include documentation with your nomination.  Nomination forms for 2024 must be received by April 21, 2024 and should be mailed to:

Henderson County Sports Hall of Fame
P. O. Box 242

Henderson, KY 42419-0242
The criteria are:

  • Those nominated as players should have graduated from Henderson County High School no later than ten years previously or from any of the former local city or county high schools.
  • If nominated as a player, the nominee should have an exceptional, verifiable record in one or more sports in his or her former high school and/or collegiate or professional career.
  • Former coaches in any of the local systems are eligible for nomination, provided they are no longer coaching.
  • Also eligible are individuals who have made outstanding contributions as supporters of the athletic programs of Henderson County High or those of former local high schools–or whose efforts have contributed to the success of such programs.
  • Nominees should be of good character and should stand as good role models.

When making nominations, be sure to include verifiable documentation (newspaper clippings, yearbooks, sports guides, etc.). Nominations without documentation are less likely to be considered. You can use the same form as 2023 but it is not due until 4/21/24. Click on the link below to download a printable nomination form.
